Introduction :

JX Nippon, a leading global supplier in the anode industry for Li-Ion Batteries, seeked a reputable manufacturer for their new copper foil manufacturing plant. This case study follows the success of the project for the last ~25 years.

The Challenge :

Customer needed a filtration system capable of withstanding a highly corrosive environment in an industrial setting with multiple units running in parallel for redundancy and predictability for upstream and downstream processes.

The Solution :

Multiple 44” diameter rubber lined vessels were supplied with polypropylene filter plates as well as two MCRO-WCD models. Sparkler reviewed project to determine necessary redundancy for 24/7/365 operation and advised on process conditions.

Results and Conclusion :

The immediate success of the project cemented Sparkler Filters as their long-term partner for this project. The horizontal plate filters proved their worth, consistently delivering exceptional performance during their 20+ years of continuous operation in this challenging corrosive environment. Today, JX Nippon proudly boasts a total of 52 Sparkler Filters, firmly establishing themselves as an industry leader in anode production.
